NDIS Questions

The National Disability Insurance Scheme, also known as NDIS, is a government subsidy, one in which assists NDIS approved individuals achieve personal goals through the provision of funds to accommodating agencies. Moreover, the agencies will partake in assisting individuals with their everyday needs, inclusive of transportation, temporary accommodation and so forth. NDIS was initially legislated in 2013, however only became effective in 2020.

To be classified as eligible for NDIS, an individual must be residing in Australia as an Australian citizen, permanent resident or alternatively hold a Protected Special Category Visa. Further, an individual must be between the ages of 7 and 65, and have a disability which is caused by a permanent impairment, one in which is neurological or physical. In addition, if you generally require disability-specific assistance in order to complete day to day activities, or if certain assistance is required now in order to prevent future support, you may also be eligible for NDIS.

Once you’ve checked whether or not you’re eligible for NDIS, you can go ahead and begin the application process, provided below are your options:
Make a Verbal Application
To make a verbal application you will call 1800 800 110, the information that will be asked is corresponding to those asked in the application form.
Once in contact with a representative you will be prompted to answer questions which confirm your identity, and/or a person’s authority to act on your behalf, in order to adequately gather information from third parties, with your consent.
Complete an Access Request Form
Alternatively, you are able to apply for NDIS by completing an Access Request Form. This form can be retrieved at https://www.ndis.gov.au/how-apply-ndis/what-access-request-form,
As another option, you can contact us via call or email and request a form to be sent out.
Upon your application to NDIS, you are required to provide us with evidence that confirms the following:
Your age,
Your Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency,
Your Disability,
And that you permanently reside in Australia
Finally, once all the documents have been sighted and completed, send us your form and accompanying evidence, these can be sent to either of the following:

Day To Day Person Support
The friendly team at SoulCareCo are trained & experienced in providng you with the personal support you need, these tasks include; personal care, showering/bathing, mobility around your home, preperation of meals as well as eating & many more. Soulcareco has built a reputable system in executing these tasks that leaves all our customers feeling satisfied & fulfilled.
Travel & Transport
Travel & Transport of our customers is a service we are proud to offer, whether you’re looking to visit friends or family, go to a park for some health & well being activities, whatever the case may be, SoulCareCo thrives on helping you achieve your goals.
Community Participation

Domestic Assistance
STA (Short Term Accommodation)
SoulCareCo knows that sometimes people can find themselves in unforeseen circumstances, where they’ll need Short term Accomodation (STA). SoulCareCo provides you with a comfortable temporary stay, where you’ll be well taken care of.
If you need support with preparing your meals due to a disability, age, accident or any other relevant reason, the friendly SoulCareCo team are trained in preparing a healthy balanced meal at your home.
Meal Preparation
Showering, bathing, dressing, shaving are just some of the many tasks our team are trained to provide. These tasks can be very difficult with age, a disability or accident as a result we ensure our staff are well equipped to do so on your behalf.
Personal Care/Assistance With Self Care
Working with trained & experienced gardeners approved by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), SoulCareCo offers those who aren’t able to take care of garden maintenance whether that’s due to a disability or you’re over the age of 65, our trusted partners have you covered.
Yard/Garden Maintenance
Support Coordination
SoulCareCo offers tailored support coordination services for our participants, guiding them to efficiently access the resources and care they need. Our experienced team works closely with our participants to understand their unique needs, crafting personalised plans to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

What is the NDIS?
